our favorite way

Take one salmon fillet and put it in a baking dish. Sprinkle salt (we like Maldon's) and fresh ground pepper on top. Pour 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil over it. Bake at 325 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until done (watch carefully so you don't overcook). Pull it out and let it rest on the counter for a few minutes when it looks like it has only 2-3 minutes of cooking left; the fish will continue to cook while it's out of the oven and this will prevent you from overcooking it. Serve with anything!

grilled Teriyaki

Heat up your barbeque grill to about 350 degrees. Take one salmon fillet and put it in on a large piece of foil. Pour your favorite teriyaki sauce (ours is Kikkoman -- a classic!) on top and massage it in with your fingers (ideally, they'd be clean). Grill until cooked. Pull it off when it looks close to being done to let it rest and finish cooking away from the heat. Serve with steamed rice and broccoli.

Heat up your barbeque grill to about 350 degrees. Take one salmon fillet and put it in on a large piece of foil. Sprinkle brown sugar, salt, and fresh ground pepper on top then massage it in with your fingers (again, ideally clean). Grill until cooked. Pull it off when it looks close to being done to let it rest and finish cooking away from the heat. Serve with baked sweet potatoes and fresh garlic bread.
